This bustling shopping, dining and entertainment area neighbouring the Table Bay harbour is almost as synonymous with a visit to Cape Town as Table Mountain that looks down on it from up high. Developed from redundant docklands, this vast property now blends seamlessly and attractively with the working harbour.

One of the highlights of your time in Cape Town will undoubtedly be a visit to Robben Island. Situated around twelve kilometres offshore from the city, the once infamous island is today a powerful symbol of freedom and the transformative power of forgiveness.

Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town, and is featured in the Flag of Cape Town and other local government insignia. It is a significant tourist attraction, with many visitors using the cableway or hiking to the top. The mountain forms part of the Table Mountain National Park. Table Mountain and the Back Table have an unusually rich biodiversity.

The Castle of Good Hope – the oldest building in South Africa – was once a fort, but today functions as a showcase of the Cape’s early days. Built by Jan van Riebeeck and the Dutch East India Company, the building, which is an example of a ‘star fort’, was completed in 1679. The building’s 18th-century décor has been restored and it now functions as a popular museum.
